My name is Kennedy Cottrell, and I am 24 years old. I graduated from the University of Arkansas school of Journalism and Strategic Media with a degree in News and Editorial Journalism with interests in Advertising and Public Relations in May 2018.
My greatest strengths are creative photography and design, and I own and operate my own small photography business out of Fayetteville, AR. Although I love photography, I also love to write. In the past I have written news and editorials pieces for the student-run newspaper at the U of A as well as branded content for local businesses.
I currently am a Photographer for a Aspen Ski Company in Aspen, CO. Aside from that, I am a concert photographer & writer for the online publication All Punked UP.
I have photographed for many different artists, including Taylor Swift, Paramore, Billie Eilish, LANY, Foster the People, Thirty Seconds to Mars, YUNG THUG, Mayday Parade, Walk the moon, and many more.
I have experience in web design, social media content production and management, copywriting, product photography, and photojournalism.
I also have spent time working in newsrooms and broadcast news control rooms. While working with UATV and ESPN, I learned the ins and outs of behind the scenes news production including technical directing and running audio boards.
In the future I would love to work as part of a creative content production team.
